National Black Data Processing Association
Many minority students, particularly of African descent, do not have the role models, encouragement, nor opportunity to demonstrate the depth of their research, creative skills, and capabilities in healthy competitive environments, on an ongoing basis, and to experience the rewards of their work in national recognition by their peers, parents and participating teachers.
As an alumnus of the Black Data Processing Association (BDPA) and subject matter expert (SME) in technology, humble1, LLC served as a judge for the 2021 National IT Showcase Competition. The BDPA IT Showcase Competition is an annual technology forum where high school and college students from across the nation demonstrate the research and theories in the information technology fields. The projects focus on advanced thought topics including intelligent technologies, wearable computing, web technologies, high-performance computing, grid technologies, cloud technology, computational science, etc. Three (3) awards are made in two (2) categories: high school and college. The winner’s research papers are published in the annual IT Showcase Proceedings in honor of their work.
